Congratulations to second-year law student Jordan Godwin who won first place in the 4th Annual “In Summation” Closing Argument Competition hosted by Heninger Garrison Davis (HGD). HGD holds the competition for local law school students to help promote advocacy and reward those law students for advancing their advocacy skills.
Held in the Stephen D. Heninger Moot Courtroom, the original field of competitors was narrowed down to a top six who paired off in the final rounds. The jury was comprised of HGD attorneys and staff, and HGD attorneys Drew Haskins and Chris Hood presided over the competition as the judges. Godwin is pictured here with Erik Heninger, firm partner and Cumberland alumnus from the class of 2001.
