Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law is proud to announce the 2018-2019 National Trial Team. Team members include: Lana Bell, Alison Bendall, Terrell Blakesleay, Tess Bray, Callie Brister, Jonathan Brown, Kameron Buckner, Jazzell Carter, Walt Cobb, Isabella Colombo, Taylor Dant, Brooke DiSalvo, Forrest Fleming, Stephanie Gushlaw, Savannah Holaday, Jennifer Jayjohn, Gavin King, Jordan Lenard, J.C. Lentine, Whitney Lott, Denzell Moton, Denzel Okinedo, Jake Sauls, Dylan Scilabro, Craig Shirley, Paige West and Andrew York
This fall, the team will compete in the Battle of the Experts, The Summit Cup, the Lone Star Classic, the 19thAnnual National Trial Advocacy Competition (NTAC), the National Civil Trial Competition, and the William Daniel Competition.
Cumberland’s trial advocacy program ranked number 10 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and number two in the national Trial Competition Performance Rankings compiled by Fordham University’s School of Law. Additional trial team highlights for the 2017-2018 year include:

- Florida National Trial Advocacy Competition Champion
- American Bar Association National Mediation Competition, Third Place
- American Bar Association Regional Mediation Competition, Champion
- Swept Regionals of the National Trial Competition
- Finalist in the CKP Moot Court Competition
- Regional ABA National Appellate Advocacy Competition, Best Oralist
- Baylor Top Gun Competition, Sixth Place and Winner of Best Technology Award
- Ranked Second Nationally in the Trial Competition Performance Rankings
