Congratulations, Cumberland School of Law students; you have almost made it to the end of another chaotic semester of law school. As you complete the semester, remember that there are resources available to help you finish with success:
The Lucille Stewart Beeson Law Library provides access to online study aids on a variety of subjects. The study aids are, primarily, available through three databases: LexisNexis Study Guides, West Academic Study Aids, and the Wolters Kluwer Online Study Aid Library. The study aids include e-books, audio lectures, flashcards, and practice questions. To learn more, visit the Online Study Aids Resource Guide.
These lessons, which are provided by the Center for Computer Assisted Legal Instruction (CALI), are interactive tutorials that cover narrow topics of law. Free access to the materials is provided to CALI member schools. (Cumberland School of Law became a member in December 1997.) To register, Cumberland students should contact Grace Simms, Beeson Law Library’s Information Technology Librarian. More information about CALI Lessons can be found by visiting the CALI website.
The end of the semester can be stressful. However, there are resources available that can assist you with overcoming the stress and anxiety that can be associated with the end of the term. Learn more about the resources that are available to Cumberland students by reading a previous Check It Out Blog post called “Coping with Stress and Anxiety.”
Don’t forget that the Law Library provides many resources for your research and study needs. Utilize the library’s Online Catalog and Online Library to discover books, articles, and other resources.
The Law Librarians of the Beeson Law Library are always happy to assist you in your quest for legal information. If you have questions, feel free to contact our Reference Librarians:
