Cumberland School of Law Dean Blake Hudson was featured in a national story by ABC News in  October 2023. In the story "Alabama accused of 'highway robbery' following flooding of predominantly-Black community", Hudson, an environmental law expert, comments on a highway project threatening a local community near Elba, Alabama. The new project has caused major flooding, threatening their community and homes.
