What do you think is the BEST thing about Cumberland?

I would say it's a tie between the community and the quality-of-life students have.

Why did you choose Cumberland?

It was sort of a legacy option, and I also wanted to have a good quality of life while at law school.

What do you most enjoy about studying law in Birmingham? What do you like to do in Birmingham?

I really like the city. When I am not studying, I typically like to play golf or exercise.

If you could give any advice to your pre-law school self, what would you say?

I would say to work harder than you think you need to work and be prepared to fail. Everyone is a "smart student" coming into law school and so it can really bruise your ego and motivation when you don't perform as well as you are used to doing.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I want to get an LL.M in Tax law and hopefully work as a tax attorney in Birmingham.
