Lane Hines Woodke joined the Cumberland School of Law faculty in August 2023 as an assistant professor of law where she teaches courses related to employment discrimination.
Before joining Cumberland School of Law, Woodke worked as an assistant United States attorney for the Northern District of Alabama for more than 21 years. She served as the chief of the Civil Division for her last 11 years. Woodke handled all aspects of Civil Litigation for the Northern District of Alabama.
Earlier in her career, Woodke worked at Huie, Fernambucq & Stewart in Birmingham, Alabama. Prior to that she clerked for the Honorable Sharon Lovelace Blackburn in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
She earned a BA in Political Science from The University of Alabama and a JD from The University of Alabama School of Law.
