Allie Saunders serves Cumberland School of Law as the admission counselor. Prior to her current role, she was the admission and program coordinator for Samford's University and Micah Fellows programs.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Saunders graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was involved with Reformed University Fellowship, YoungLife and Emerging Leaders. The Briarwood Fellows program, a year-long Christian leadership and study initiative, brought her to Birmingham in 2018. She began her career in education through her internship with Restoration Academy in Fairfield, where she then continued to teach full time, coming to delight in working with students and their families.
In the spring of 2024, Saunders earned her Master of Arts in School Counseling from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she was a member of the Chi Sigma Iota counseling honor society and an ambassador at the American School Counselor Association's national conference. After developing a love for Samford, its mission, and its people through her work with the Fellows programs, she is excited to join the admission team at Cumberland and provide comprehensive guidance to prospective students on the law school application process.
Saunders lives in Homewood and loves exploring her beautiful part of Birmingham. She is a member of Faith Presbyterian Church, and she serves on the Advisory Council for Restoration Academy and the Junior Guild for the Birmingham Botanical Gardens.
