Mission
The Office of Greek Life enhances the connections of fraternity and sorority members with a Christ-centered focus on core principles of service, scholarship, leadership, brotherhood/sisterhood, and holistic development.
Vision
We strive at Samford to be authentic, purposeful, and faithful to cultivate a Christ-centered community that empowers Greek life members to grow in its core principles. Through intentional fellowship, leadership development, and impactful service opportunities, we strive to foster a supportive environment that celebrates individuality, encourages personal growth, and promotes academic excellence, ultimately equipping our members to positively impact the world for the glory of God.
Core Principles
Service
This principle drives many fraternity and sorority activities. Samford Greeks strive to have a servant’s heart.
Scholarship
A cornerstone of Samford University as well as the fraternity and sorority community. Fraternities and sororities provide supportive environments to enhance a student’s ability to succeed in and out of the classroom.
Leadership
Each individual student can have a valuable experience seeking a leadership role while building confidence and impactful life skills.
Brotherhood/Sisterhood
Fraternities and sororities provide connection and belonging through life-long support and accountability.
Holistic Development
Greek students will grow in skills encompassing spiritual, social, physical, mental, and intellectual development.
