Before coming to Samford, Bethany graduated with honors from the Westminster School at Oak Mountain. While there, she served as the secretary of the National Honor Society and a community chair of our house system. Additionally, she aided in establishing the school's first academic journal, where she held the position of managing editor. Upon graduation, she was awarded Best Senior Thesis for her work entitled, "American Youth as the Salvation of Democracy." She also received the inaugural Bethany Waters Medal of Excellence, which was established by The Church at Brook Hills in her honor and recognizes high school students who dedicate years of service as a children's ministry leader. She hopes to see and learn as much as possible while at Samford, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in store for her!
