Samford University’s graduate chapter of Upsilon Phi Delta, a national academic honor society for undergraduate and graduate students in healthcare administration, was named a recipient of a 2020 Upsilon Phi Delta grant from the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA).
The grant awarded Samford's Department of Healthcare Administration in the School of Public Health funds to provide scholarships, conduct service projects and create simulation experiences for online Master of Healthcare Administration students.
Membership in Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is open to individuals who meet the national and local standards of this organization and are accepted and initiated into membership of a collegiate chapter. Students involved in Samford’s chapter are enrolled in either of the two healthcare administration degrees the School of Public Health offers, including its Bachelor of Science in healthcare administration and fully online Master of Healthcare Administration.
The mission of the Upsilon Phi Delta Honor Society is to recognize, reward, and encourage academic excellence in the study of health administration. Upsilon Phi Delta is a member benefit of the Association of University Programs in Health Administration.
