Department of Health Informatics and Information Management Fund
This general fund is used to the Department of Health Informatics and Information Management, faculty, undergraduate students majoring in Health Information Management and graduate students seeking a Master of Science in health informatics.
Department of Healthcare Administration Fund
This general fund is used to support the Department of Healthcare Administration, faculty, undergraduate students majoring in Healthcare Administration and graduate students seeking a Master of Healthcare Administration.
Department of Nutrition and Dietetics Funds
This general fund is used to support the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, faculty, undergraduate students majoring in Nutrition and Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition, graduate students seeking a Master of Science in nutrition and post-baccalaureate students enrolled in the Dietetic Internship program.
Department of Public Health Fund
This general fund is used to support the Department of Public Health, faculty, undergraduate students majoring in Public Health and graduate students seeking a Master of Public Health.
Department of Social Work Fund
This general fund is used to support the Department of Social Work, faculty and graduate students seeking a Master of Social Work.
Places and Spaces
College of Health Sciences Building Fund
In fall 2016, the School of Public Health moved into the new College of Health Sciences, an innovative learning environment designed to foster interprofessional collaboration and cutting-edge experiential learning. The building fund provides support for ongoing enhancements and maintenance for the 223,000-square-foot College of Health Sciences.
Scholarships
Dietetic Internship Scholarship Fund
Samford’s 16-month Dietetic Internship prepares post-baccalaureate students to be resourceful leaders, effectively serving and advocating for the nutritional needs of the community. Gifts to this project will establish a new scholarship fund.
Patricia Hart Terry Scholarship in Nutrition
This annual scholarship is awarded to a School of Public Health student majoring in either Nutrition and Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition, holds a GPA of 3.0 and is involved in community service or cross-cultural engagement.
Solid Foundation
School of Public Health Fund
This general fund is used to support students and faculty within the School of Public Health. Funds are used for a variety of things including addressing immediate student needs, lab equipment, faculty and student travel and faculty development.
The College of Health Sciences Fund
The fund supports urgent student needs, faculty and student travel, faculty development and other priorities determined by the vice provost of the College of Health Sciences.
