Alumni homecoming

As the fall semester progresses, and Homecoming Weekend 2024 approaches, the Samford University Alumni Association looks forward to welcoming alumni and friends back to campus Nov. 1-2. This special weekend brings together the entire Samford community for fellowship and celebration.

The Alumni Association is particularly excited to host three alumni classes for milestone reunions. The Classes of 1974, 1999 and 2014 are invited back to celebrate with their classmates on Saturday, Nov.2. Event registration information can be found by visiting the links below.

Class of 2014: 10-Year Reunion Breakfast

Class of 1999: 25-Year Reunion Breakfast

Golden Bulldog Luncheon: Class of 1974 50-Year Reunion

The reunion breakfasts will be held in Harry’s Coffeehouse in the Ralph W. Beeson University Center and are casual, come-and-go events. These breakfasts will conclude in time for attendees to participate in tailgating, the Bulldog Walk, other Quad festivities and the Samford-Wofford football game. Alumni are encouraged to invite a friend or bring their family.

The Golden Bulldog Luncheon will be hosted in the Regions Community Resource Room in Brock School of Business. While honoring the Class of 1974 for their 50-Year Reunion, this event is open to all alumni who graduated 50-plus years ago. The guest speaker is professor of history and university historian S. Jonathan Bass, author of From Every Stormy Wind That Blows: The Idea of Howard College and the Origins of Samford University.

For alumni and friends who are not celebrating a reunion this year, there will be plenty of opportunities to gather and connect with your Samford family. On Friday, join the Alumni Lecture Series and the Homecoming Quad Party. Both events are complimentary and open to the entire Samford community.

Saturday will see campus transformed into a sea of red and navy as tailgates take place on the Quad. For a full schedule of activities hosted by the Samford University Alumni Association and to see if your favorite campus organization will have a spot on the Quad, visit the Homecoming Webpage. Tickets are on sale for the football game, which will take place in the newly refreshed Pete Hanna Stadium.
