Samford University’s Department of Social Work in the School of Public Health has announced a full calendar of continuing education programs for the upcoming year.
Central to social work’s principle of competence and life-long learning, the Department of Social Work will host a new continuing education program each month with different speakers presenting on topics that relate to current research or practice skills, including supervision, vulnerable populations, ethical decision making and more.
“We are proud to offer regular continuing education programs for social work professionals in the coming year,” said Lisa Baker, Department of Social Work chair. “We know how important it is for social workers to stay up-to-date on the latest research and trends, and as a department, we strive to be an educational resource for not only our students but also our alumni and our professional community.”
The cost of each program is $45. Individuals may also purchase a CE Subscription, which includes registration to five continuing education programs. To subscribe, please register for the five selected programs; then use the promotional code “SUBSCRIBE” to receive the discounted rate.
Special rates are available for Samford social work alumni and field coordinators, and all proceeds from registration will support scholarships for social work students.
Samford University's Department of Social Work is approved by the Alabama State Board of Social Work Examiners as a provider of social work continuing education.
