Tickets for a Samford University lecture featuring popular pastor and author Timothy Keller will be available to the public beginning at 8 a.m. Aug. 22. The event is hosted by Samford’s Beeson Divinity School.
Tickets are free and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Tickets will be available online or by calling the Samford box office at 205-726-2853.
Keller, founding pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, will give a lecture open to the Samford community and general public as part of its Faith, Work, and Economics series on Election Day (Nov. 8) at 11 a.m. in Leslie S. Wright Fine Arts Center.
The lecture will be based around the theme of Keller’s book, Every Good Endeavor: Connecting Your Work to God’s Work.
“Timothy Keller’s deep interest in this subject has resulted in his significant book, and the establishment of a major faith and work ministry at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Manhattan,” said Mark DeVine, director of the Kern Family Foundation Faith and Work grant, and associate professor at Beeson Divinity School.
Keller is a renowned speaker and cofounder of The Gospel Coalition. He also is a New York Times bestselling author with two of his books, The Reason for God: Belief in an Age of Skepticism and The Prodigal God: Recovering the Heart of the Christian Faith, having sold more than 1 million copies and having been translated into 15 languages.
