Stephanie Rollins will be joining the Samford University Library faculty as reference and instruction librarian, effective April 4. She will be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and assessing library instruction and information literacy initiatives as well as assisting with reference and research services.
Rollins has 16 years of experience in research and access services. She currently serves as the reference librarian and branch manager at the College of Southern Nevada in Henderson. She is a member of the American Library Association, Nevada Library Association and Mountain Plains Library Association. Rollins was an active member of the Alabama Library Association during her tenure at the Muir S. Fairchild Research Information Center, Maxwell Air Force Base, Montgomery.
Rollins, an Alabama native, received her bachelor of liberal arts degree in English from Auburn University and master of library science and doctor of public administration degrees from the University of Alabama.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Rollins as part of the University Library faculty,” said University Library Director Kimmetha Herndon.
