Clergy and congregations experience “hinge moments” when they face decisions about challenges and opportunities.  How they respond determines if they will continue to have thriving ministries.

“Hinge Moments: Swinging Toward Vital Ministry,” a one-day seminar at Samford University April 4, will provide practical resources that help clergy and congregations address these strategic occasions in proactive and creative ways.

Sponsored by Samford’s Resource Center for Pastoral Excellence (RCPE), the program is scheduled for 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. in Samford’s Divinity Hall.

Presenters will include Dr. Gary Furr, pastor, Vestavia Hills Baptist Church; Bill Wilson, president, and Natalie Aho, interactive communications coordinator, Center for Congregational Health; Dr. Allen Walworth, president and principal, Gary Ealey and Brad Leeper, vice presidents, and Alan Wildes, senior strategist, Generis Partners; Mike Tate, leadership strategist, Humana Resource Management, Inc., Birmingham; and Dr. Andrew Westmoreland, president, and Rev. Michael Wilson, program director, RCPE, Samford University.
