Samford's School of the Arts will host a performance by tenor Roderick George in Brock Recital Hall Sept. 15 at 7:30 p.m.

George is an experienced operatic soloist with a record of performance in the U.S. and Europe in diverse roles ranging from Sportin' Life in Porgy and Bess to Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Ralph Rackstraw in H.M.S. Pinafore to Rodolfo in La Boheme. He also performs with the American Spiritual Ensemble and specializes in art songs based on the poems of Paul Laurence Dunbar and Langston Hughes.

In addition to his performance career, George serves as Assistant Professor of Music at the University of Montevallo.
