Samford will host a Make A Change Workshop for the National Conference for Community & Justice Saturday, Jan. 24. More than 100 high school students and teachers are expected to attend the event.
The National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ) was founded in 1927 as the National Conference for Christians and Jews. The organization changed its name in the 1990s but continues to bring together people of different faiths, cultures and ethnicities to address interfaith divisions, race relations, and social and economic barriers.
The event, scheduled to last from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., will take place in Samford's Flag Colonnade room and Dwight Beeson Hall.
