John W. Duren of Savannah, Ga., was re-elected chairman of the Samford University Board of Overseers at its Oct. 28 meeting.

Also elected at the meeting were new officers Sandra H. Ray of Tuscaloosa, vice chairman; and Jack D. Stewart of Louisville, Ky., secretary.

Newly elected members of the 45-member board are: William J. Christenberry, D.V.M., Birmingham; Andrew B. Cundiff, Birmingham; C. Duane Randleman, M.D., Birmingham; Nathan B. Smith, M.D., Birmingham; Jeffrey I. Stone, Birmingham; Jason C. Swanner, M.D., Birmingham; and Gary C. Wyatt, Birmingham.

The Samford Board of Overseers is a group of men and women of leadership and influence from around the nation who provide advice and counsel to the President and Trustees of the University.
