A Birmingham businessman and a physician have been elected to the Samford University Board of Overseers.
Gary M. Cooney and C. Duane Randleman, Jr., M.D., were elected at the spring meeting of the Samford Board of Trustees.
Cooney, a 1974 Samford graduate, is vice chairman, McGriff, Seibels and Williams, Inc.
Randleman, a 1979 Samford graduate, is a cardiothoracic surgeon at Baptist Montclair.
John W. Duren, president of Duren Associates, Inc., Savannah, Ga., was elected to a two-year term as chairman of the 42-member Board of Overseers.
The Board of Overseers is a group of men and women of leadership and influence from around the state and nation who provide advice and counsel to the President and Trustees of the University.
