Samford University ranks 18th nationally among master's degree institutions in the number of students studying abroad, according to the most recent annual study by the Institute of International Education.

Samford sent 264 students abroad during the 1997-98 academic year, said the study reported by The Chronicle of Higher Education in December.

Samford's London Study Centre is the keystone of an international program which carries students to four continents. More than 3,000 have studied in England and other parts of Europe since Samford purchased its London Centre--now known as Daniel House--in 1984.
