Kinesiology is the study of human movement and its impact on health, wellness and quality of life. Students who pursue a kinesiology degree are prepared for a diverse range of meaningful careers, each focused on serving others and promoting lifelong well-being.
At Samford University, the Department of Kinesiology is committed to equipping students to positively influence the physical, emotional and spiritual health of individuals and communities. Through a rigorous academic foundation and hands-on experiences, students are guided by faculty who model excellence in teaching, service and scholarship, all within a distinctly Christian environment.
We believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition. Grounded in 1 Peter 4:10, we are called to use our gifts to serve others. Through the science of movement, our students are prepared to make a difference in the lives of those they will care for throughout their careers.
Each one should use whatever gifts he has received to serve others.
