Samford University's School of Health Professions is home to four academic departments, which comprise of five undergraduate majors and three graduate degree programs.
Communication Sciences and Disorders
Speech language pathology and audiology are inherently service careers. The professionals who choose this life are called to a life of caring, using their gifts to better the lives of others. The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers two degrees: one undergraduate and one graduate.
Kinesiology
Kinesiology is the study of human movement and its impact on people's health and quality of life. Samford's Department of Kinesiology offers four undergraduate degrees, including a Bachelor of Science in sport administration.
Physician Assistant Studies
As the newest department in the School of Health Professions, the Department of Physician Assistant Studies offers one graduate degree, a master of science in physician assistant studies.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapy is a critical component to effective health care as movement is essential to human well-being. It is fueled by a compelling desire to make the lives of others better. The Department of Physical Therapy offers a three-year Doctor of Physical Therapy program with a heavy emphasis on the sciences.
