Allison Jackson is an Assistant Professor in the School of Health Professions’ Department of Kinesiology and has been teaching for almost 25 years. Prior to teaching at Samford, she taught elementary and middle school physical education and coached high school softball. She is passionate about mentoring students in Health Professions to help them find their calling within their chosen profession. Her interests lie within the discipline of disabilities in the health professions as well as searching for innovative ways to involve all children in physical activity to fight the childhood obesity epidemic. She loves all things outdoors and is married to Mark Jackson. They have 2 sons, a freshman at the University of Alabama Huntsville and a senior at Heritage Christian Academy.
