Caroline Hix joined the Spiritual Life team as Program and Events Coordinator in the summer of 2021 after spending seven years at Samford serving incoming students and families. In this role, Caroline manages the convocation program and helps plan and execute Spiritual Life events. She also works alongside the Spiritual Life staff and supports the ministry to help point students to Christ and grow spiritually. She loves getting to invest in college students and helping carry out the mission and strategy of the Office of Spiritual Life.
Caroline grew up in Orlando, FL before coming to Samford in 2010 and now lives with her husband, John, and 2 dogs, Blue (Bernese Mountain Dog) and Winston (French Bulldog), in Bluff Park. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, being on the water, and eating with John at their favorite local Birmingham restaurants (a few of her favs are El Barrio, Slice, Bamboo on 2nd, and Big Bad Breakfast)!
In 2014, Caroline graduated from Samford with a degree in Human Development and Family Sciences then received her Master’s in Educational Leadership and Policy in 2016. Caroline loves Samford because it has had such a big impact on her life and faith. For her, the people of Samford are why she loves this place. She is thankful she is still able to serve Samford and its students through the Office of Spiritual Life.
