Megan Winkler, a Central Florida native, joined Samford University’s Division of Marketing and Communication in August 2024. She serves as the marketing and communication manager for Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing and the School of Health Professions in Samford’s College of Health Sciences.

Winkler earned a bachelor’s in public relations with a minor in Family, Youth and Community Sciences from the University of Florida. During her time there, she was an active Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) member and a contributing writer for The Alligator.

Over the last 20 years, she has built expertise in marketing, mass communication, public relations and sales development. Her notable roles include development director at Heavenly Hoofs; senior program manager and academic recruiter for Saint Joseph's University; family relations manager of the YMCA Learning Center in partnership with Walt Disney World Resorts; and communications director of SketchToAnimate.

She lives in Homewood, Alabama, with her husband, Wink, and their two children. She is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Samford.
