Sarah first came to Samford as an undergraduate student, graduating in 2013 with a degree in journalism and mass communication. As a student, she interned with the Office of Marketing and Communication as a news and features writer. After graduation, she landed a job with Oxmoor House, a book imprint of Time Inc. During this time, she worked as a project editor for cookbooks and bookazines for brands like Southern Living, Cooking Life and Weber Grills.
In 2015, in an unexpected twist of life, the Lord led Sarah back to Samford, and this decision continually proves to be an amazing blessing. She has served in several roles within marketing and communication, including being the liaison for the Office of Alumni and Annual Giving and Samford’s College of Health Sciences. During this time, she earned her Master of Business Administration from Samford, graduating in 2020.
In 2021, she took on the role of director of creative services. In this position, Sarah supports the design, photography and editorial needs of Samford, providing project management and editorial oversite. Additionally, she oversees the university’s licensing program.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling, crafting and spending time with friends. She is a fan of British television shows, likes to play tennis and has an orange cat named Rory.
