Sie L. Clay, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), is a seasoned HR leader with extensive experience in professional development, talent acquisition, and strategic HR support. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of HR for Organizational Development at Samford University, Sie combines her passion for developing talent with a deep understanding of HR policies and practices.

Before joining Samford University, Sie gained over fifteen years of Human Resource experience, specializing in employee relations, leadership consulting, workers' compensation, recruitment, compliance, training, and development. She is a member of the Birmingham Society of Human Resources (BSHRM), where she serves on the Birmingham HR Fusion committee. In addition to her SPHR certification, Sie holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management from Bellevue University and is certified in diversity, equity, and inclusion from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business.

Outside of work, Sie enjoys time with her husband, Jermaine, and their three daughters. She and her family enjoy being involved in their faith community as active members of Christian Valley M.B. Church. Sie loves traveling, relaxing at the beach, and volunteering for causes that improve the lives of others. Both in her personal and professional life, Sie is driven by a deep commitment to building relationships and engaging in her community.
