Katy joined Samford University in August of 2022 as an Intern with Campus Recreation, before becoming the Assistant Director of Facilities and Reservations in April 2024. In her role, she oversees Campus Recreation Reservations and ensures that the Facility is always looking its best.

Originally from Tacoma, WA, she earned an undergraduate degree in Social Studies with a minor in Sport Management from Washington State University. She also received a master’s degree in Sport Management from Troy University, where she got experience in Campus Recreation, as a graduate assistant before coming to Samford.

In her free time, she enjoys attending sporting events, traveling, and reading. Katy is looking forward to continuing to work with the Samford Community in the new facility!
