Dean joined Samford University in May of 2024 as the Associate Director of Campus Recreation. In his role, he oversees Campus Recreation Programming, including Intramural Sports, Club Sports, Fitness, and Personal Training.

Originally from Louisville, KY, Dean earned his undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration from Northern Kentucky University. He also received a master’s degree in Sport Management from Indiana State University, while working as the Graduate Assistant of Sport Programs in their Campus Recreation department. Prior to coming to Samford, Dean worked as the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports at Xavier University.

Dean also officiates NCAA soccer, and NFHS basketball. In his free time, he enjoys attending sporting events, spending time outdoors with his golden retriever, and hanging out with friends & family. Dean is excited to get to know the Bulldog community.
