EconomicsArt Carden, professor of economics in Samford University's Brock School of Business, is an internationally recognized economist and accomplished media expert. His areas of expertise include mass-market retailers, economic history, public policy and regulation, causes and consequences of economic growth, and more. He also frequently participates as a panelist and speaker at various economic forums nationwide.

Carden is a senior fellow at the Fraser Institute based in Vancouver. He speaks at their student programs regularly. Carden's book, Leave Me Alone and I'll Make You Rich: How the Bourgeois Deal Enriched the World, which he coauthored with world renowned economist Deirdre McCloskey, was recently interviewed by the Fraser Institute in Vancouver.  Read the Fraser Institute Interview Here.
