Samford University’s Brock School of Business has announced another record enrollment semester. In total, 1070 students are enrolled for the fall 2022 semester in the school’s undergraduate and graduate programs.
Included in the total are 782 undergraduate business majors equaling 21.30% of the university’s total undergraduate enrollment. In addition, 134 Samford students studying majors outside of business have added one of the school’s seven minors as a complement to their major.
“The record enrollment for Brock School of Business is a reflection of the quality majors, minors, and concentrations that our faculty offer students that provide competitive learning outcomes and experiences for future employment,” said Senior Assistant Dean Barbara Cartledge.
Also included in the total enrollment are 154 graduate students participating in the Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) or the Master of Accountancy (M.Acc.) programs.
Students studying in the M.B.A. represent a diverse array of backgrounds. Besides working in the typical business fields, students enrolled in the M.B.A. represent backgrounds such as engineering, higher education, sports business, and health care. Some students are also participants in the school’s joint degree programs with law, pharmacy and environmental management.
“This growth is indicative of the demand to receive a high-quality business education, which is a worthwhile investment for any individual’s future,” said Dean Chad Carson. “Because of this, Brock School of Business is positioned as a true leader for business education in the southeast.”
