For Nonbusiness Majors
Any Samford major can add an accounting minor to his or her major.
The Language of Business
Accounting is the language of business. The accounting minor in Brock School of Business offers nonbusiness students the opportunity to study the principles, concepts, and methods of business, accounting and financial reporting.
Think about it. The foundation of many businesses are not based on strictly business disciplines—medical and psychology practices, education organizations at any level, engineering and architecture—but, a basic understanding of accounting will provide a successful platform upon which any business should be built.
Upon the completion of the accounting minor, students will have the background necessary for further study in Samford’s Master of Accountancy (MAcc) program.
