Divinity books and periodicals are integrated into the university's holdings, but the majority of divinity books are found on the second floor of the library in the B classification. Though these resources primarily serve students and faculty, we are glad to welcome clergy and other members of the greater Birmingham community to visit the library. Below are some helpful links for library resources.
Library Catalog
The university library catalog is the doorway to using divinity research materials (especially books) in the university library. "Keyword" searching is the default setting, but tabs allow users to switch to "author", "title" or "subject" searching. Students & faculty can access their patron record through the catalog also.
Article Databases
Current Students and Faculty
Good theological research involves accessing periodical or journal literature. The ATLA Religion Database is the primary index for thousands of articles, book reviews and more published every year. Beeson Divinity School provides access to this valuable resource for current students and faculty.
