The Master of Theology (ThM) provides advanced theological study beyond Master of Divinity (MDiv) studies as further preparation for ministry and/or as preparation for research doctoral (PhD) studies.
Doctor of Philosophy in Theology for the Church
The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Theology for the Church is designed for pastors and ministers who wish to expand and deepen their theological knowledge for the sake of the church’s witness. The curriculum combines advanced-level seminars across theological disciplines along with specialized research under the supervision of a faculty member who specializes in the field. This degree combines the best of on-site learning in weeklong seminars with virtual research seminars and independent research.

In cooperation with Samford University, Beeson also offers accelerated pathway programs and joint degrees. Beeson also offers an emphasis in chaplaincy, certificates for Anglican and Wesleyan students and a missions certificate for those seeking intentional training in cross-cultural ministry.
