Dr. Josh Gillen is the Visiting Assistant Professor of Music and Interim Director of Bands at Samford University where he leads the Samford University Marching Bulldogs, Samford University Wind Ensemble, and teaches classes including music technology, music theory, and marching band techniques.  Dr. Gillen, a nationally acclaimed drill designer and arranger, has previously served as a member of the Band Staff at High Point University in North Carolina, The University of Kentucky, and Auburn University.  His research interests include various topics related to conducting, wind band literature and history, and the use of technology in band.
