Maggie Folker joined the Samford University advancement team in January 2022 as Development Officer for the School of the Arts. Prior to her role supporting the School of the Arts, she served as Director of Development for Samford Athletics for more than five years. With more than fifteen years in both nonprofit fundraising and sales, Folker brings experience that lends itself well to revenue growth and donor retention.

Folker is a 2006 graduate of Georgia College & State University. Her undergraduate degree in French positioned her to pursue several study abroad opportunities, as well as the chance to teach English in Monistrol-sur-Loire, France. In 2019, Folker pursued a master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Samford’s Orlean Beeson School of Education. She is proud to share with everyone she meets that she’s officially a Samford Bulldog.

Folker is an Augusta, GA native, but has lived in the Birmingham area since the fall of 2014. She spends her free time with her husband Jacob, daughter Sybil and their rescue Goldendoodle, Jerry.
