In this program, you will explore the formation of the modern world and acquire the skills necessary to make a meaningful impact at home and abroad. This major is an obvious choice for students pursuing careers in government, missions, business or the nonprofit sector.
What Will I Learn?
The Global Studies curriculum provides a solid foundation in global topics and approaches through two introductory courses focusing on world history and related fields such as geography, political science and world languages.

- Learn about the countries and cultures that comprise our world and the systems and processes that connect them together.
- Learn how to analyze ideas and theories that make sense of our world.
- Gain tools on how to contribute to the greater good of those you serve.
Our program emphasizes experiential, hands-on learning, offering diverse pathways for completion, such as internships or studying abroad. Your academic journey will culminate in a research-based, writing-intensive capstone seminar, allowing you to apply your knowledge in a meaningful way.
