Nurse Faculty Loan Program
Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing is the largest recipient in the country of a grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration called the Nurse Faculty Loan Program, which enables us to award loans to graduate nursing students that can be forgiven up to 85%. In exchange, you commit to serving four years of postgraduate service in a nurse educator role, which includes being an advanced practice registered nurse preceptor or a full-time faculty member.
With a less than 1% default rate, this loan forgiveness program has empowered numerous graduates to pursue their advanced degree at a low cost to them.
*For joint nursing faculty appointment designation, recipients are encouraged to negotiate a contract/position with an accredited school of nursing prior to precepting students.
Advanced Nursing Education Workforce Program (ANEW)
This grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) will use evidence-based guidelines to develop experiential learning activities focused on primary care. You will receive practical experience in high need and in demand healthcare settings.
The ANEW program will recruit registered nurses to earn a master’s or doctoral degree or a post-graduate certification with a concentration as a primary care nurse practitioner.
