In March 2024, the third consecutive cohort of Samford University Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing graduates achieved a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). This milestone achieved by the December 2023 graduates, recently confirmed by the Alabama Board of Nursing, highlights the school's commitment to exceptional nursing education and solidifies its reputation as a leader in the field.
At the heart of this success lies a group of devoted educators who go above and beyond conventional teaching norms, offering mentorship and guidance that extends beyond textbooks. Within the nurturing environment representative of the school's Christian values, faculty members empower students to excel academically and embrace the core values of compassion, integrity and servant leadership essential to the nursing profession.
“We are very proud of these three cohorts, achieving a 100% first time pass rate is a tremendous accomplishment,” said Cindy Berry, professor and undergraduate nursing department chair.
Potential applicants are consistently impressed by the school's track record of success, including its NCLEX preparation and its commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, skills and compassion needed to thrive in the dynamic health care landscape.
With its mission to prepare caring, competent and compassionate graduates with a commitment to service, scholarship, lifelong learning and professional practice, Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing stands as a beacon of excellence in nursing education, shaping the future of health care, one nurse at a time.
