Havilah Couvillion is from Birmingham, Alabama. A graduate from the University of Alabama in Birmingham, Havilah received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2011. After graduating, Havilah moved to Starkville, MS where she resided from 2011 until 2018. In 2017, Havilah received a Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Havilah has spent most of her nursing career working as a bedside nurse in a diversity of medical-surgical environments, as well as a nurse educator for outpatient surgeons. Havilah also spent time working in women’s health and health promotion by creating and teaching prenatal curriculum for a grant-funded program in a local family center in Starkville, MS. Havilah moved back to Birmingham to work as a nurse educator for the vascular surgery service at University hospital.  In the fall of 2019, Havilah accepted a job as a full-time clinical associate for the Moffett & Sanders School of Nursing. In the Fall of 2020, she was hired as an Instructor and is currently the course coordinator for Adult Health, and teaches in pharmacology. Havilah and her husband, Neil Couvillion, live in Cahaba Heights with their two children. Havilah is passionate about education, and about coffee. She has opened several coffee shops, and currently owns Nine-twenty-nine coffee bar in Starkville, MS.
