Rachel Cheek’s nursing journey began at Samford, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2008. After five years as a medical ICU staff nurse, she pursued a Master of Science in Nursing from Auburn University. Graduating in 2019, Cheek transitioned to nursing education, first serving as a part-time clinical associate before joining the Moffett and Sanders School of Nursing faculty as a full-time instructor in 2024. Nursing is more than a profession to Cheek—it is a calling. Inspired by her faith, she strives to embody this calling by cultivating humility, clinical excellence, and a deep commitment to compassionate care.
