The pomp and historic formality of academic ceremony combines with Samford University’s proud 180-year tradition in the installation service for Dr. Beck A. Taylor as Samford University’s 19th president.
Reception for Delegates and Honored Guests

President and Mrs. Taylor receive official delegates and honored guests at a brunch reception on the university quadrangle.
Inaugural Ball
Hosted by Samford’s Student Government Association 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. Seibert Hall
Samford University students, faculty, staff, delegates, and honored guests are invited to attend the Presidential Inaugural Ball. Enjoy delicious food and refreshing beverages while listening to the musical stylings of both Samford University's renowned Jazz Orchestra and party band, Main Attraction. Celebrate with President and Mrs. Taylor and stay for the crowning of the Homecoming King, Queen, and Court. As the Inaugural Ball is taking place during Homecoming Week, we will celebrate Homecoming during this event as well. Tickets are required; RSVP at the link provided.
