First year Samford University communication and media student Alison Williams has been accepted into the Jackie Robinson Impact Program, one of the nation’s premier scholarship and leadership development programs for minority college students. Williams said the program will provide four years of community and networking with other Impact members, as well as an online library, videos and other resources to support her academic and personal goals.
For Williams, those goals include a career in public relations. She is a journalism and mass communication major with a concentration in public relations, and hopes to add a minor related to sports public relations and sports media as she develops her professional path at Samford.
