Hands-on experience in media production is an essential part of career preparation for many CAM students. They’re already diving in as the semester begins, returning to print a redesigned Crimson newspaper, producing sports media and local culture media, and applying their learning to university-wide projects.

Sports broadcasting students launched the fall season of The Bulldog Blitz, a weekly sports video digest that will appear will appear every Tuesday on the Crimson website.

Students in professor Clay Carey’s Print and Digital Journalism Practicum began daily publication of their work on the website of The Local, Samford’s award-winning, student-produced magazine.

Four of professor John Marc Green’s Intro to Film Production students took part in a video project for Samford’s Center of Science and Religion, and the whole class reviewed the planning, production and post-production choices, and problem-solving opportunities of the project.
