Ben Lowe, founder and leader of Young Evangelicals for Climate Action (yecaction.org,) will present a lecture on “Christians and Climate Crisis” at Samford University Monday April 22.

The free public event—part of Samford’s Earth Week observations--will begin at 4 p.m. in Samford’s Brock Forum, Dwight Beeson Hall.

Young Evangelicals for Climate Action was founded by a core group of evangelical students and young professionals in 2012. Now a national movement, YECA members share their personal stories of life, faith, and social concern in recognition of “the interconnectedness of our past, the urgency of this current moment, and our calling to secure our future from the ever-worsening impacts of global warming.”

Lowe also will speak in a Samford environmental science class Monday morning.
