Born of an American mother and an Italian father and raised in Italy, Alessandra moved to United States in 2005. With a B.A in Classics and M.A. in Foreign Languages and Literature, she started teaching Italian at the University of Florida and then at Indiana University Indianapolis (formerly IUPUI).

Alessandra started teaching Italian in the Samford Critical Languages Program in 2019. Although she loves teaching the Italian language and literature at all levels, her true passion is Dante’s Divine Comedy. She even named her Great Pyrenees “Dante”!
