Shannon Gilstrap specializes in behavioral neuroscience and health psychology. She has research experience in utilizing social neuroscience frameworks to better understand the mechanism that drives pain intensity, sensitivity, and disparities, particularly in people with HIV. The overall aim of her research involvement is to determine the clinical relevance of the effects of insomnia on fatigue and laboratory measures of pain sensitivity and endogenous pain processing.
