Merry Bise joined Samford Academy of Arts in September 2021 as part-time Administrative Assistant. She offers assistance to staff, students, parents and donors. 

Merry was born in Illinois and moved to Alabama where she earned her Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Montevallo. She retired after 24 years of service with Vulcan Materials where she held many positions in the information technology field and employee training and development.

After spending 6 years in Southwest Florida, Merry is happy to be back in Birmingham and has found a home at the Academy. When she isn’t busy here you can find her enjoying working in her garden and experimenting with new recipes with her husband, Dave.
